A cargo trouser is not the same thing as a cargo pant. The trouser has an elastic waistband and no belt, a relaxed straight leg, and a lighter fabric. Which weight for which season
- April to September. The 100% cotton Khaki Classic at 200 GSM. Pure cotton breathes better than any blend, and 200 GSM is the lightest weight that still holds its shape.
- October to March. Any of the 97% cotton twill colours. The 3% stretch moves with you and the twill weave keeps its structure through the season.
- All year. If you only buy one, take a 97% cotton twill in a mid tone. It is the most usable thing in the range.
What makes a cargo trouser worth buying
- Fabric weight. Below 180 GSM the fabric goes thin at the seat and loses shape. Our lightest is 200 GSM for exactly this reason.
- Twill weave. Twill is a diagonal weave. It holds structure, drapes cleanly and keeps colour far better than plain-weave cotton.
- A real elastic waistband. A good elastic waist holds without digging. A cheap one loses its tension within a season.
- Pocket construction. Cargo flap pockets carry weight, so the corners are where they tear. Reinforcement at those points is what separates a trouser that lasts from one that does not.

The only difference is the number of back pockets — one on the 5 pocket, two on the 6 pocket. Both have two front pockets and two cargo flap pockets. Choose 5 pocket for a cleaner back panel and everyday wear; choose 6 pocket for travel, outdoor work or when you carry more.

Two fabrics. The Khaki Classic is 100% premium cotton at 200 GSM, the lightest in the range. Every other colour is 97% premium cotton with 3% stretch, woven in a durable cotton twill.
Are cargo trousers good for Pakistani summer?
Yes, if the fabric is right. A 100% cotton trouser at 200 GSM breathes well in heat and the elastic waistband is more comfortable than a belt on a long hot day. Avoid anything with a high polyester content — it traps heat.
Do cargo trousers need a belt?
No. All AT7X cargo trousers have a full elastic waistband, so no belt is required. That is the main practical difference from our cargo pants, which have belt loops.
